I always put a background on my start page. I have lots saved to use, and change it daily, unless I really like it, then it may be good for 2 days.

It's something I enjoy doing. No one sees my start page but me, but I don't like a plain looking start page. As much time as I spend on the computer, it makes it a little more fun.

Then I have search sessions, and I'll put say "abstract art" in my search, and save anything I find interesting. The computer makes it fit the start page.

Boredom is the worst thing to overcome when you are home all the time, so making a fancy start page kills a little time for me.

That, and beating the cats daily!

OH BOY!!! I'm getting my yard cut as I type. It must be a whole crew. Doing a weed eater and mowing at the same time. This guy must have a crew that does this as a business. I even put pants on incase they need to talk to me.

:) I took Lacy to Jim's vet up there in Tequesta yesterday. She put Lacy on steroids by pill and gave her an antibiotic shot and sold me a bottle of special shampoo and a bag of food. We are to only let her eat this food, no snacks or treats. This will be for 5 weeks. If she does not stop itching by then she will have to have a monthly steroid shot.

Poor dog is constantly rubbing her face on the rug or scratching with her feet. Her skin is pink and almost all the hair on her legs is gone. I am exhausted.

Andy's MIL is moving to Arizona. Her car and furniture are already on the way. I am to pick her up at 4:30 today and take her to 2 banks and then she and I and Andy will do dinner. After I will take her to her sons house along with all her suitcases. She flies out on Friday. This is a big move for her and she will have to find part time work to be able to do it. Please say a prayer for her. Jeanie :)

Jeanie, that sounds like a very busy schedule you had yesterday though it's very nice that you were willing and able to help your son's MIL.

Poor Lacy--those allergies can really bother a dog. My son's dog was like that, plagued by allergies and always being put on special diets and medicines. Some of them even worked for a while, and he lived fairly long for a golden.

hello out there !

Been chaotic, with sister in law being so sick. We were having her stay with us, during the day, then staying, with her other sister,{nurse}, at night,, but this once again changed, she got toxic shocked, and, plattlets dropping,, she is back in the hospital.. so sad to see this happening,,

Cows get sold Friday, so they are being hauled today to the sale barn,,,we have 4 trailer loads to haul and probally buy some back,, lol

Peg, I hope they can get everything under control. They do have some amazing drugs out there, but usually come at a cost.

Did anyone miss me yesterday? Out of the last 24 hours, I have slept probably 20. I don't know why, but I have been dreaming so much. Not good or bad dreams, but long and detailed ones.

I'm having my first cup of coffee, and had to chuckle. Both cats are right up here on the bed. They just like to hang out with me. Two love bugs I guess.

Peg, I hope the hospital will help your SIL to be more comfortable in spite of everything that's going on with her.

Sally, I think Howie's cats are both girls.

And Howie, it was so quiet in here yesterday that you could hear a pin drop. I didn't have a pin handy but I tried dropping a paper clip, and I did hear it.

I went looking for you on your Facebook page but you must have slept through it all.

My iron gave out even though it was only 7 years old. What's wrong with these things that don't last? I was good to that iron.

Its "digital display" started to go out some years ago but then it just stopped working. So I ordered a new iron, one without any digital display. I decided to treat myself to the retractable cord. For once in my life I was going to have a retractable cord!

It arrived, and the retractable cord didn't work. So I sent it back and got a replacement without the retractable cord.

So far it's been working fine. But having to downscale my options in irons twice before finding one that works?

The more features a product has, the less likely it is to last very long. That's a rule with me.
