Thanks, Vicky! Mine are tucked w my other S & P shakers in the china cabinet: the family turkeys, snow people, bunnies ;-), and the ice cream cones my dad bought out of a florist's window for my mom.
How much are the W & D salt and pepper shakers worth, Vicky?

A lot would depend on the condition, but if it's fairly nice then most of them start a bit above $1000 and go up. You gonna sell yours or trying to buy one?

No, not selling. This one is in the felt box uncirculated, with the papers describing it. I look at Monex about once a week to see what it's worth. My dad collected coins, so I have a whole safe full. Yes, I have a safe.
It almost hit $2000 under Bush, but dropped down under Obama. It's weird to watch how politics and the value of gold and silver change with the party in control.

One strange coin I found in change from shopping is a copper nickel. I looked it up online, and it's a coin struck while just copper as all coins are, but it escaped the nickel plating process. It is worth $200 to $500. It made those Whisker Lickin's a good buy that day!
