    It's time you had a lucky break like that, Jeanie! I'm glad you were pleasantly surprised.

    Howie, I've been interested in an online calendar for a while but gave up on finding one. Which one do you recommend?

      Try MSN Monthly Calendar.

      I just fixed my antenna array so I'll get to see Sea Hunt tonight.

        I use the Yahoo! calendar. It's simple too and works fine for me. I can tie it in with their mail and I like that.

                Are you saying you're using a different calendar? Or the MSN calendar doesn't work well?

                I looked it up. I don't know if it's the same but when I searched for "MSN Monthly Calendar" I got taken to Outlook.To get into Outlook I had to have a Microsoft account.

                I must have had a Microsoft account but no longer had any information about it. I set up a new Microsoft account and have been looking at the calendar.

                It seems to be working OK for me but the numbers for the calendar dates are too light. I tried to change them to a darker font but it's not possible. Still it looks like a good calendar otherwise.

                  :) I buy a three year calendar from a mail order catalog and it is right next to the computer hanging where I can check it easy. I transfer everyone's birthday and anniversaries to all three years. It helps me look ahead and mail cards in time.

                  I buy cards at the dollar store and always keep a supply on hand of birthday, friend, sympathy, anniversary, etc. on hand. Jeanie :)

                    You got the right one Agate. I am on Outlook.com, but didn't know MSN and Outlook would be the same, but it's all Microsoft anyway. EVERYTHING is Microsoft.

                    I took another LONG nap, got up and made Oatmeal and Garlic Bread Sticks. You can hardly tell I'm totally broke, and almost out of food by these gormet meals I'm having.

                      Ah, look at all of them sleep. It almost makes me sleepy just watching them. It's coffee week mostly to help me ration food until payday. I have 3 GOOD meals waiting, but today it will be oatmeal again.

                      I made way too much, and set the bowl on the floor when I finished, and Seven finished it off for me. It's not just plain oatmeal thank goodness, but Honey and Cinnamon flavored. Comes in a packet, put it in a bowl, and add boiling water. 1 minute later, it's ready. Pretty tasty really, and I still have milk to drink.

                      The 10 day forecast is calling for nice weather for a while, and the day after payday, I'm taking Pinky for a drive. I might even break the speed limit.

                      So Howie's in good shape for awhile. Sleep away sleepy heads!

                        People here do know about the CSFP food distribution plan that is available to low-income persons 60 and over, or no?

                        Howie, you may be too young --I can't recall your age. (29?)

                          29??? Why yes, yes I am! That was a good guess.

                          This shortage of food is just a temporary thing. I don't remember the bill that ruined me this month, but it doesn't happen all the time. I know I did get a cover for Pinky this month. But haven't even opened the box yet.

                          I hope to take it to the carwash Friday, then gas it up, and drive it some. Then put it in the garage and put the cover on it. Sam says Daddy wuvs his widdle pink car!
