It's supposed to hit 41 degrees here tonight. When I FINALLY got up today, I got out one of my portable heaters, but doubt I'll use it until it gets into the thirties, but 41 is pretty darn close, isn't it?

I want to take Pinky to the carwash, then drive it a little, and when I put it back in the garage, I'll put my new car cover on it. I got it from Amazon, and haven't even opened the box yet.

I'm going to end the month pretty poor this month, but I refuse to borrow money from my sister until I get the LAST loan paid off. I have food, the only thing I'll have to do without, is....sniff...beer.

    I hate being poor.

My buddy drove me to the ocean yesterday, and back home which enabled me to tolerate the walk down the boardwalk. What a relief to be back with the surfing community. The waves were terrible, so almost everyone just stayed and watched and socialized, only a few guys went in the water.

Afterwards, I nearly cried with joy: four of the surfer dudes took it upon themselves to rake the path through the woods to the cars to make it easier for me to walk.

There are so many good people in the world with a generous heart.

My IVIG infusion is Wednesday. Am hoping I will be able to make the long drive on Saturday to the beach, and lie on my board and just paddle around in the shallow water. We will see.

If it's not cold tomorrow morning, I will try to swim 50 yards. It's the first day I am allowed to ease back into exercise and see how the body tolerates it. My usual swim is 1800 yards aka one mile.

BBS, that must have been a bittersweet time at the beach, but better days are probably ahead, and you just might be swimming your mile again before long. Sometimes time just has to pass, and sometimes even more time.

It's really great that there are people who understand among the surfing community, helping to smooth the way for you when the way is difficult.

Everyone around here has had to give up activities that they were good at and enjoyed doing, but I just have a hunch you won't be giving up surfing.

            Where there's a will, there's (often) a way.

I'm up, and drinking my hot coffee, not so much to wake up, but because it's COLD. I'll turn some heat on tonight.

And Agate has beat me here today? What's this world coming to? I did sleep well last night. And long, nice dreams which seems to be the norm these days. Dreaming is such a strange thing, but also necessary in ways we don't fully understand.

And sleeping with two cats, I can tell you they dream too. Can you imagine what those are like? They get pampered like two queens, so they should have nice dreams.

              Sunday. Have a great one!

I've heard that cats dream, and I believe it. Sometimes a cat of mine would be sound asleep but I could see her jaw moving in the way they do when they're looking intently at a bird or other prey they want to sink their teeth into. I figured she was dreaming about chasing some little critter.

Or sinking their teeth into their unexpecting human. Those fuzzy little dreamers!

Cyber attacks have started again. I didn't read it in the news, I can tell by how my computer is acting...again. Russia or China. My guess is China. I'll be on and offline today. I'm usually online all day, but it gets old fighting all day to be online now and then.

Funny you should mention beer. DD brought me a cold beer today....yummmmmmy!

Sally, thought of you when I saw the beer Agate posted for Howie. I thought you might get that before he had a chance. It did look good, and I am a wine rather than beer person.

Jeanie, why didn't you put your sleep mask on when you couldn't sleep? It usually does help, but I still have sleepless nights.

Agate, that invisible box prank was really stupid, but it worked on a number of people.

Howie, I turned on gas logs last night until I went to bed. Will do the same tonight if it gets cold enough.

It is an absolutely gorgeous day today. I took my car through the car wash. Then I pumped gas. I think it was the same amount Ann pumped - $21.00. In just a little while I am leaving to meet brothers and sisters-in-laws for dinner.

The front seat airbag light came on in my car yesterday and stays on continuously. I guess that means a trip to the dealer. It is yellow, not red. Anyone know what that means? Maybe Howie?

For BBS, maybe bodysurfing is something to think about? Or no? The video is unfortunately in Portuguese without translation but I thought it looked like fun:

And obviously there's a need for more beer:

Virginia, computer problems dumped my answer. Let the dealer check it, and be careful.

Very cool. It would be worse. At least using a surfboard gives you a flotation device to lie on if the legs seize up. Body surfers have no flotation device!

Body surfers are very tough guys. They are constantly out there in the big waves swimming, totally immersed in he water.

I sure like having a long board when the men in the grey suits swim by showing off their dorsal fins!
