Ann, your Mom is a feisty 91 year old and knows what she wants, on her own terms I think. She raised a wonderful daughter and I know she is a very good lady.
:) Ann glad your Mom is so feisty. My Mom had problems with Fosamax but I do not recall exactly what. My short term memory is not great.
I went to the dentist today. I have always had huge bony tumors (tori) on the floor of my mouth. I always take good care of my bottom teeth so they don't have to be chiseled out for a denture. I went to the dentist for the first time in a year today. I need a lot of
Hopefully no other new expenses will pop up work. One tooth will be extracted and a fake one put in permanently with a post.
I am going to do it in stages. The first appointment is Nov 3rd. I also have some gum problems that will be done first along with removing that one broken tooth. I am going to be able to keep all my other teeth thank God. I dread all the time in a dental chair. I had a terrible dentist as a child and those memories are easily remembered. Jeanie:)
Jeanie, good luck with the dental work! It sounds as if you'll be getting an implant?
The last tooth extraction I had left a gap in my mouth. I was advised to have an implant but opted to skip that. The less dental work, the better. I can live with the gap in my mouth and don't miss the tooth much at all.
ANN, Howie is another dentist who doesn't believe in novocaine!
He can go without one shoe quite nicely too.
--It seems I neglected to get a mammogram in July.Completely forgot about it. Usually they send a reminder but I don't recall getting one. So now I have to go for that soon. I had a call about it today.
Every 2 years for those now, and that's better than every year.
I'll be at the dentist next week myself and hoping to be sent on my way after the exam, etc. I can hope, can't I? I might decide on a new night guard though. This one is so thick that I can't close my mouth at all at night, and I'm sure that's one reason I wake up several times a night with a dry mouth.
I'm so glad I'm not looking forward to any more extractions at the moment. Jeanie, Howie will tell you there's nothing to it. In fact, Howie is just the person to take care of it. I don't know if you recall but his dentistry skills are known far and wide.
I'm all over the place with what time I get up. It might be 3pm, or like today, before 7am. I've tried to go back to sleep, but no go. And now the cats know I'm up, so the turkey begging begins!
So I'll take care of the fuzzy ones request, AND make me some coffee. Hopefully that will get me going enough to make a dump, bank, and store run. Rise and shine!
SAM, get me my pliers, we have folks needing dental work!

Glad you didn't mind the plug I gave you for your dental expertise. I was afraid you'd get those long lines of people again, all eager for dental extractions without novocain, and it sounds as if that's what's happening. Just remember: "The tooth, the whole tooth, and nothing but the tooth."
What IS that as your avatar, Howie? You and the cats must be getting ready for Halloween when you'll all be out running around, scaring everyone and pulling teeth and getting into trouble.
That's a "Creepy Clown". It's a strange phenomena that's going on in the news. They are what they sound like. I've never liked clowns, I've always thought they were creepy.
I'm going to change my avatar as soon as I can fix the problems I've been having with this computer. It's rather IRRITATING!
.................................................. ......
THERE! I figured I had better change it while the computer is working. I'll just go back to this little guy.
Clowns can be a bit creepy. I recall wishing they'd stop doing their clowning in circus acts because they were distracting from the trapeze artists and other acts that seemed far more interesting.
Have you guys heard of the Creepy Clowns? Put that in your "news search" if you know where that is, or just in your "search". I SWEAR I'm not involved!

I'm not so easily scared by creepy clowns but stories about people running around in clown outfits and threatening little kids with guns and knives are disturbing, to put it mildly.
Howie, I'm glad to see Pinky again as your avatar. In case you've changed it again, I'm talking about this:
No, I like to see Pinky too. I'm going to keep that one.
I was reading the news, and there's a big cyber attack going on. That was probably the reason I was having so much trouble with the computer yesterday. It's fine today, and I've updated the "protection" I have.
It's a pain, but that's the way the net is these days.
