Virginia, you're plenty smart! You're doing as much as you're able.

I did go for that swim. I hit 1/3 mile which is just 600 yards. I got out when the feet started to feel wonky. Just in time.

Now I am cooking that eggplant dish. It smells so good

Glad the eggplant lasted for you! I recall how fast eggplant can go past its prime.

Virginia, I admire all of the housework you've been doing. I used to try to do some jobs once a week without fail but lately I've been doing them when I think it's time to do them or when the place needs to look more presentable--which is about every 10 days.

I've heard that about vacuuming too--that you should vacuum straight up and down the area but also diagonally for the same area.

I really need to vacuum my curtains but it's hard. The attachments keep coming apart, and reaching up with them to hit the right places seems difficult.

Terrific foot spasm in middle of night. The pattern seems to be getting spasms on days I exercise. Starting to track this to see if it's true. It could be the combo of swim, work, and then cook for 90 minutes.

The eggplant dish was soooooo delicious. Leftovers tonight :)

BBS, I need to join you for dinner tonight.

Agate, one of these days I will give up on some of the housekeeping. As a matter of fact I already have. I use to vacuum the furniture more often, turn the pillows, do the blinds and windows more often and on and on. I have cut back.

Today I vacuumed for exactly one hour and that is about all I am going to do. My knee that I hurt so long ago is giving me a lot of trouble and I do not want to keep aggravating it.

I will add that I just walked to my mailbox and back. I estimate that to be about 3/4 of a good block. It was harder today than yesterday. I was more wobbly. Again, the humidity was higher today than yesterday.

I swam 750 yards today. Let's see if spasms start...

It was 78 degrees in my corner of the city yesterday (away from the ocean). I had to go out. How could I not? I walked over a block to the bus, waited standing for 5." I went to the bank, CVS and the free book box and then walked all the way home. My legs are still in spasms.

The two previous days I did laundry.

I surfed this morning. It was electrifying at the beach. A hundred surfer dudes glorying in clean shoulder to overhead waves. I did the reformed waves on my stomach. It was so nice to be in the refreshing cool ocean with friends.

My friend with MS that I met there , was out walking. She uses her scooter for the store, but is able to walk on the beach which is wonderful....It was good to see her too. Our group has adopted her and she has adopted us. In the summer, I hope to put her on the board and let her gently rock on her stomach in the tiny summer wave.

I did not get spasms after swimming yesterday. Hoping for the same after surfing.

That's a lot of walking and standing. You got punished for it, which is totally unfair. What a hateful disease.

I think it might take a while to get over the stressful trip you just made, ANN. Any travel is stressful, IMO, unless you happen to have a private plane with a very good pilot who isn't yourself in charge.

Today was not yesterday. It was a choppy mess. My crew were the only ones there except a guy who was getting slammed by the disorganized incoming waves.

After falling down laughing our guts out at one of the crews story about a mishap, We paddled into the chop for about a half hour while the others smartly watched. Did I mention the wind? It was 20-25mph on shores. Waves looked 4-5' short interval with a wicked lateral drift. The good part was the ocean felt warm, @75.

It was a hopeless paddle fest, and we contented ourselves with just letting whitewater push us in.

We went in with no illusions that we would catch anything. But as always, we left with grins on our faces and stoke in our hearts.

BBS, you have such a wonderful time! When you are through with work you can just continue by going to lunch with your friends. Then you can take the whole afternoon to rest. Don't you like the way I am planning your life for you?

I get nasty leg spasms at night. It is usually when I did not drink enough water during the day. If I drink water I can usually go back to sleep and not have any more spasms.
Spasms really hurt and I am sorry you are having them. Hope they disappear.
