I tell them that I brought them into the world and I have replacements.

Be nice to your ankle, Howie.

      It's a marketplace isn't it?

They call that "Food Lion" around here. And that's the only thing on my "to do' list today. But I just got up, and am just starting on my coffee. I'm sleeping and dreaming wonderfully!!!

I did misspell it. It should have been "Basarikreis." Basar is German for bazaar. Kreis is German for circle. The Basarikreis is a "circle" of ladies at the German church who originally had dedicated themselves to making things for the German church Christmas bazaar and selling.

The Christmas bazaar is held on a Friday at the beginning of Advent. Tables are set up around the church courtyard and in the sanctuary. Each table has goods for sale: Hand made items, grocery items, wreaths, etc. There are tables to buys things to eat there (or take out): cakes, coffee, sausage, soup, sandwiches. And tables to sit and eat and socialize.

I think I will skip swimming today, got a chest X-ray and changed to a different antibiotic, got cleared for IVIG on Thrursdsy. One more dsy of prednisone. Maybe short swim today. Just resting for now.

It was hard to stay still with arms raised for the X-ray. I guess that's MS. Who knows...but it is nice to be still alive.

Today was Tuesday, so this morning I walked from church to home. The walk can take anywhere from half-hour to hour depending. Today it was a 45 min day.

Late this afternoon we walked 8 blocks to the eye doctor's office. Then back.

Grand total : abt 33 blocks.

It's really the only exercise I get. I'm much better with walking when there is a destination than with walking for walking sake.

                    You're a champion walker, Parsi!

My pedometer readings for January averaged 1479, based on 29 days. Cold days such as we've been having for weeks now mean I don't walk the halls so much. The stairwells are mighty chilly and I manage to talk myself out of doing that walk all too often.

Warmer days may be ahead, and I hope to get out and about with the new rollator before long and see what's been happening in the neighborhood.

                      Ladies, this is impressive walking.

I am going to try for a little swim tomorrow morning after resting up Monday and today from URI and asthma.

Agate, I wish I were doing some of the exercises you are doing. I got as far as copying and pasting your routine.

And I wish I could do some of the swimming that you do, BBS.

I swam 750 yards today despite asthma and MS. Mild transient MS hug after, but no lingering effects so far. Victory!

We got a shipment of baby plant cuttings today so I did the work to unpack and water them as well as the whole greenhouse. That was an hour of solid movement.

Then I put huge tarps over our cars so that I will easily be able to shake the snow off them after the big snowstorm we are supposed to get. This system works well but is hard when there is a foot of snow.

Then John was ill so I got him to call his PCP. Within 2 hours they had squeezed in an appointment and I had picked up antibiotics and we were home. He has been having Congestive heart failure problems. Here's hoping for a quiet night. A crisis during violent weather would be...so frightening.
