18 blocks today. We had gone to the bank then the supermarket. Filled up the rolling shopping bag/cart to the brim. Boy, it was heavy. I worried about the wheel coming off.

I am sorry to hear you were punished by your hip spasm. They're scary as you cannot know how long it will last.

Today was a gorgeous sunny zero wind day.he waves were waist to shoulder high at sunrise, clean. Lots of surfers enjoying the waves and good fellowship.

I backward army crawled to the sloped down part of the beach to stand up, after having sat down to rest. That worked out fine.

I took two very fun waist high waves in. I had to ditch the first one because I spied another dude coming at me, unsure whose wave it was, but always wise to apologize no matter what.

It so easy to see how the MS is progressing while surfing. A day like today, I used to surf 20 waves until last year, then maybe ten. Now it's two before the legs start to signal, "Get out if the water, I am about to seize up"...I try to stay positive about it, but the loss is sometimes hard to ignore.

My friend got her board busted in two yesterday, by a wave, and today found out it can be repaired :) my other buddy got hit in the head by her board today. It's a dangerous world out there!

We have had lots of snow. I live on my farm far enough from the main road to feel isolated. We have been really lucky this winter as an old guy who lives about 1/2 mile away comes all the time and plows everything. We have 5 greenhouses and they need to be plowed up and down the sides so the snow can slide off of them. Plus there is a lot of roadway with 2 driveways and other pathways that need plowing so we can drive from house to greenhouses.

We are lucky that this guy drives his tractor with plow from his house to my farm. I hear him outside several times during a snowstorm. He comes often so I never have to start worrying that he won't show up. But I am so worried about what would happen when he doesn't make it..

All I do is worry. But, because my mind is focused on moving I am less scared than I was. I have taken over the 2 big greenhouses and am cleaning out, planting and moving stuff around. It is endless but I have been moving a heck of a lot.

I am glad that the name of this thread was changed...the words 'keep on moving' are singing in my head and I am marching to their tune!

We are getting Linda's snow now on top on what we all ready have.

Peter and I took a walk in the snow half way to the business district and then walked all the way home. I expect my legs to kick vigorously tonight.

Good job, Bbs, listening to your body.

Ann, sounds like you need to also listen to yours unless Peter partially carried you.

Our high temperature today was 83 degrees. Just hate it. Much too hot. I wonder what is going to happen when summer gets here. Tomorrow is going to be around 58, so it is up and down, but still even 58 in February is above our normal.

Virginia, I am VERY envious. We got 5 more inches of snow last night with more on the way. At least you can leave your house!

Virginia, we walked until I saw the bus on the way up and took that but walked all the way home. Altogether about 1/4 mile.

And I am taking today off.

Retirement can't come too quickly. On work days, there is no way to swim if I am going to be able to make dinner too. This freaking disease is really ticking me off. So, no swim today, no walking, just doing the house stairs.

Moving? I had an appointment with the wheelchair specialist at PT today, Tom took me there, but also had an appointment with the Hospice nurse at home 30 minutes after my appointment started, so I walked home and got there about 5 minutes after the hospice nurse left.

I got approved and they will send the paperwork to my insurance. I got told that it could take 2 months before I finally get my device, but at least that process is finally started.

Jendie, I just hope you get the exact right thing for you. In other words something that you can truly use where you need it and will make a big difference in your life. I know you would have liked to have been with Tom when Hospice nurse was there. It was something that both my neighbor's two sons came for when she was going through that. They lived out of town and did not come that often. You are doing so good.

I am hoping to have a short swim in a.m. It's the first swim in a week or so and I miss it. The asthma is finally subsided, so it's time...

Three airports! Lots if walking, especially in Detroit's airport. Then an hour of sitting thru a layover and then the second flight of 3 more hours on hard seats. Even Peter's bum hurt. TMI?
