My friend drove me to neuro today for a consultation about spasms. He said that if I get breakthrough spasms on Baclofen and Tizanidine, I can immediately take one to two extra Tizanidine at that time. That is a relief to have a plan.

Started augmentin for a sinus infex 3 days ago. Now instead of the constipation from the Baclofen and Tizanidine, I have diarrhea from the augmentin-- first time ever. GEESH. So I guess I will stop the constipstion treatment for now. Maybe change the antibx to a different one.

It's always something. I hope it doesn't mean DH can't drive me to the ocean to see my surf crew tomorrow a.m.....hate MS

Today was the best day I've had in a long time! We went to sign the paper to begin working on my Cruiser. They are going WAY beyond damage done from the wreck. When it's finished next week, it will look like a new car, and about half of it WILL be new.

Then picked up my meds at CVS. The driver's window won't roll down, been that way for some time. So I walked around and got in the back, and rolled the rear window down so I could talk to the girl at the window. They all know me there, and I told her my sister was my driver.

After that, we went to the grocery store, and made what I think can be almost my only trip for groceries. I have to cut back on my food expenditure this month, to pay for the car. So I bought wisely, and no extras. I love a challenge!

I just finished a nice long chat with my brother. We talked about EVERYTHING!!!

I bought lots of healthy food, so what am I having for dinner? Coffee!

I didn't sleep last night, so I am sleepy, but charged up at the same time. I may not eat tonight. I feel like sleep would be wise before long, I can eat tomorrow.

      Have a great evening everyone!

Thanks, Howie, I have been wondering about your car all day.

Bbs, so sorry about the GI symptoms. And, can you copy your info about the anti- spasmodics into that thread if we still have it. I find it useful. I hope it works for you.

What else did your car need, Howie? You keep speaking of how well you've maintained it with such little usage, I can't imagine what else it might need!

Let us know how your food challenge works out! I've actually done that when I've found myself short of money, and it's quite amazing how possible it is to stretch your grocery dollars and still eat very well and nutritiously while cutting your food costs significantly. I considered it a challenge too!

Cat, very happy you have had such a great cellphone experience!

Virginia, reading anything interesting at the moment? I'm going to the library tomorrow - best book you've read in a while recommendation for me?

Suze-Q, I liked "A Gentleman in Moscow" by Amor Towles. Looks like it is going to be a mystery when you first start, but is not and is very humorous and sweet. I also liked "The Art of Hearing Heartbeats". I can't remember the author, but that was very good.

Cat you cellphone experience was a good story. We like to hear those kind of stories.

BBS, do you think the treatment for constipation along with the augmentin could be causing your problem with diarrhea? If you give up the constipation treatment you might find you do not have a problem anymore. I was glad you have a backup plan for spasms, since you have been so bothered by them.

Ann, very proud of Peter for attending the State Dem Meeting. Your MIL must be something. She just keeps on going and going.

Howie, glad you had a good day. I guess it was nice to spend some time with your Sister in addition to everything else. You were just chauffeured around. Hope you get your car soon.

Yes, so I stopped the Lactulose at noon yesterday, and the stool softener and benefiber. Zero problems today with diahrea, so am thinking it was the combo of augmentin and Lactulose. I will restart benefiber today, and stool softener tomorrow, but won't use Lactulose and see what happens.

Re the crisis plan: neuro said that if I get a bad spasm despite being in Baclofen and Tizanidine, at the time of spasm, I can take an immediate extra 1-2 tabs of the Tizanidine. He also mentioned am not on the highest dose of Baclofen and I forgot to ask if I can increase it. I will call office next week. It was a relief to have an ace in the hole.

He also bumped up the IVIG to 25 G , and still every three weeks.

Howie, that's the best news EVER! I can hear the stoke in your post! Remember that day always. Pull it out of your memory to savor when you have a low day.

Howie, I am also one of the curious minds.

Vicky, thanks for pulling that up. That is the book I was referring to. Ann your Mom might also like this book.

BBS, hope this plan solves all problems - at least for now.

The repair people presented me with 8 pages detailing everything about what they are going to do, new parts list, etc. Some of what they have described has nothing to do with the accident. But from reading the documents, it sounds like most of the car, if not the whole thing, will be repainted.

The place is a car dealership, just not the one where I bought the car. But that's fine, it's about half the distance away. A new front bumper, but thank goodness it didn't set the airbags off. That's something I never want to experience. I'd probably have a heart attack!

I may have to borrow $100 from my sister which is not a problem. I'll pay her back next payday. I'll pay them $500 when I pick up the car, drive it home, and park it until next month. I'll have like $40 left for the month, but I'm stocked up on food enough to do that.

Next month, I need to get my oil change and inspection, and nothing else. I'll be able to take a deep breath.

$500 is a good deal for all that work! It's gonna be a car that Pinky will envy :)

The $500 is just the deductible on my insurance. The entire bill is $2,937. The insurance pays the rest over my $500. A stupid traffic cone does that much damage. It just shows you how important a seat belt and good insurance is.

:) I went to get my RX's, then to the mechanic. They cannot work on my van until Thursday next week. It is starved for fuel and since they changed the fuel pump I think it is something they did.

They talked like my hoses are old and maybe one got a pinhole leak. I am going to be unhappy if I have to pay again.

I've read all the posts but can hardly remember who said what. I think I am just exhausted beyond tired.

                              Take care everyone. Jeanie :)

                                Get some rest, Jeanie.

Later or tomorrow, maybe you should find someone else to look at your van for a second opinion.
