hey everyone
!
pati, how about a homemade tartar sauce or something close to that? i'd mix some lite mayo with some lemon juice, a little chopped green onion, some dill pickle relish or chopped dill pickles with a little bit of the juice and some chopped parsley or dill (i love fresh chopped dill) and some ground pepper. i like to fool around in the kitchen...most of the time it turns out fine.
the owner of the company that is making my kitchen cabinets called me last week and said my cabinets will be ready in about 3 weeks instead of 6. they had a cancellation of a job and mine was next. so i am a bit stressed as i have to clean out my cabinets and paint. i've cleaned several cabinets already, one of the benefits of a small kitchen. i'll get paint this thursday and give the walls a quick wash and get to painting. i'm pretty sure i'll have everything painted except maybe the hallway to the basement.
it's cooled down quite a bit here, but will be quite warm on friday and then another cool down. pati, they also have decals you can put on sliding doors so people and birds don't run into them and get hurt. i have had several birds fly into my front dining room window over the years. no tragedies, but i'm sure a couple of dizzy birds.
dawn, i hope you are enjoying your vacation at the cabin! i hope the painting of your new sun room goes well! i paint walls by myself and if you prep before and tape it, you can paint faster. labella, i hope the new school year goes well for your daughter
. joy, i have been reading about coconut oil lately. it's a great antibacterial, antiinflammatory and antifungal oil and it helps keep your gut flora healthy by killing the bad stuff and letting the good stuff live. it's also a MUFA (medium unchained fatty acid), that we don't get too much of in our diets and many acids that help in weight loss. i buy organic oil from the supermarket, it's a bit pricey but you need so little. i have already started using it in foods and putting some in a jar for my face at night, i also use a tablespoon for hair conditioner, as my hair gets dry in the summer.
clouds, i think parasols are a great idea! they might look funny on a sunny day, but they protect you if you're walking. julia, i'm always happy to see a post from you and i know you're getting stronger everyday
. leo, i'm sorry they're screwing with your meds! one of the drugs i take, clonazepam, can make your white blood cell count go down. mine was and i thought i would have to change meds
. but, i also stopped taking benadryl for my allergies cause it wasn't doing much and i sprang for the pricey zyrtec. well, i remembered the doctor telling me that benadryl also caused some people to have lower white blood cell counts (called leukopenia). i had stopped the benadryl a week before my blood test for my white blood cell count and it was normal! so i know it was the benadryl giving me the low white cell count...i can stay on my clonazepam!...for now!! well, i still have to get tested every 6 months for those white blood cell counts. it's so nice to see you posting, leo!
christine is alive and well and living in facebook. beader (sher), is alive and well and is doing her genealogy tree back to the roman empire
. deedee, we miss you too and hope things are going well for you
!
love you all and thank you for sharing and caring
