Well there is thunder rolling through and I am not gonna find out if I am a lighting rod. So I can sit in our campsite and look at our boat floating at the end of the dock. There is someone near us that has a loud voice and he was helping a friend position his camper "come back, come back, little more, <crash> Oh I didn't see the picnic table (which is made of cement). You really have to wonder about someone retiring and buying a 40 foot RV when the biggest thing they ever drove is a compact car. You see someone who is probably 70 years old roaring down the Interstate at a break neck speed of 45 MPH
In all the years we have been married the only real fight (yelling fight) we have ever had was over backing our camping trailer into a camping space.
I have decided that I am going to make an appt with the interventional Radiologist and try the steroid shots in my back again. The Sciatica really bothers me and when it fires up it tends to get my MS going too.

:) Hi everyone. Gary I hope the shots help. Weather here is hot and the heat makes for afternoon rains.
My son Jim came this morning. We went to breakfast, then to pick up my RX's, then to a friends to drop off some boots I no longer use for motorcycling. Then we went to the battery store and got new batteries in my house scooter. We stopped at the motorcycle shop where Jim got a full face helmet. We also stopped at the ATM at the Credit Union and got gas in my van. A lot more than I would have been able to do by myself. I took two quarters of a Provigil to do all that too.
Andy came by to take in the trash and recycle bins and Jim and Andy caught up on each others news. Jim is going to make a motorcycle trip with his church friends down to Key West, spend the night and come back the next day. It is about 250 miles from here. I bet they will have sore rumps after.
My computer got hacked and I was receiving X rated emails from myself as were many in my address book. Jim helped me change my passwords, so they won't be able to send anymore for awhile.
Take care everyone. Jeanie :)

I think I would prefer tornadoes to hurricanes or earthquakes. Considering all the years I lived in Wisconsin I only once had a near brush with a tornado. Actually it was more of a batch of tornadoes that ripped through the city. Left quite a mess.
With all the natural disasters and wild weather the world has had the last few years, the planet Kryton comes to mind.

Parsi, I just don't know how they can get ANY satisfaction from doing that. I'm sure it's not that hard to do. I'm getting good with this laptop, and could do the same thing, but why would I want to? If that's "fun" I guess I'm getting old!"Given the millions of billions of Earth-like planets, life elsewhere in the Universe without a doubt, does exist."

Next they'll be born attached to a computer. As it is, they can't be away from the computer long enough to do anything else and so they've got phones and even WATCHES to make sure they're connected at all times.

Child birth will be terribly difficult, Agate.
Who knew being connected would make so many people disconnected.
Creeps me out that I am at greater risk of hurting someone while driving
because pedestrians are palm reading while walking.
Sometimes they palm read in flocks crossing the street.
Ducks.
Parsi, I'll take a hurricane over a tornado any day.
Hurricanes give you a lot of warning.Last edited by renee; 05-28-2015, 06:57 PM.

That says it, renee. I sometimes navigate around a supermarket either by holding onto the shopping cart or sitting in one of those scooters, and I'd say that the customers on their phones have far worse mobility problems sometimes than I do--mainly because they're wrapped up in their texting.Who knew being connected would make so many people disconnected.
They're staying connected--to the people they find interesting. The rest of us can go fly a kite.
Hurricanes do seem to give you a bit of time. A SIL in Florida tells me that the assisted living place she's in has a regular plan in place in case of a hurricane, with a place for everyone to be taken to in case of a hurricane. They're counting on having time to get everybody there, apparently.
