She has a vet doesn't she? Please think about taking her there.

Anyhow, I hope you find this link useful:

I hope Seven will be all right, Howie. If she's not eating at all and hasn't eaten in 24-36 hours, I hope you'll get her to the vet. Cats can't go very long without eating. Sending good vibes to Seven!

Many thanks to everyone who gave the helpful info about the camera eye. I had no idea! I hadn't ever been worried about the red light on the TV that isn't on. I'd forgotten that some people are talking to one another by phone while seeing one another. I don't think I'd ever want to do that myself but can understand why others might.

As for taking photos with this computer, I'd just be taking photos of my living room since the computer isn't going anywhere. It's an all-in-one desktop and not so very portable. It weighs less than 10 lbs. but if I wanted to take a photo somewhere I'd use the little camera I always use.

I'll keep the little piece of paper taped over the camera eye though. I like Rose's idea of sticking an "I Voted" sticker on it. I haven't seen one of those "I Voted" stickers in years but I hope to find some other sticker before long. Maybe one of my address labels would do.

Thanks for the good advice everyone. Seven finally got off the bed, and stretched out in her favorite spot at the front of the fridge, and gets that warm air that comes out.

So I opened the door and asked who wanted turkey, and she and Sam did their usual routine of eating it after I squeeze it to crumble into small pieces.

Maybe I just ruined both our sleep routines by staying up all night. I slept almost all the day, the day before, so I didn't ever feel sleepy. PLUS I forgot to take my sleep med, and finally realized it about 6am, and by then I just said "you'll sleep good tonight".

So with a little turkey, and hopefully some rest today, Seven will be okay. I love them both so much, I can't imagine them not being here.

It feels like it should be 6pm, and it's barely past noon. Shake me if I start nodding off.

Microsoft is NOT out to get you. Yes, hackers can hack anything. But not if the computer is turned off. Not if the camera is off.

Vicky, thanks for the cat calculator. According to that, she is 84! It's funny that I can see how she has slowed down, and can't jump like she used to, and even has trouble getting up on the bed sometimes, and it's a very low bed.

Looks like we are all getting older!

I hate to break it to you, Cat, but, yes, hackers CAN have access to your computer and camera, even if it's turned off. Once they've been able to hack your system, usually by you clicking on an email link or now, even downloading a rogue pdf file, they have control over your entire computer system, including using the camera or computer, regardless of whether YOU'VE turned it off. With wifi, if they have access to your computer, they can turn it on remotely. They're very sophisticated now. Agate, that's why I hesitate clicking on your links if you've disguised the source with your own name for it, since I can't "see" if it's a pdf and about to download itself onto my tablet. I've just watched a show on cyberwars that showed that pdf files can now contain malware too, and they don't need to be accessed via an email, just downloaded, which my tablet does automatically when I click on a link.

Agate, yes, you should cover your computer camera lens at all times if you're not using it. There was a terrible case of Miss Teen USA having her computer hacked and pictures taken of her via her webcam and her being threatened.

Now, with smart tv's, they are capable of being hacked too and of taking photos, audio or videos of you.

Howie, glad Seven seems to be feeling better. Is the turkey processed? That's a lot of sulphites and preservatives for a little cat if it is a deli meat and not unprocessed.

Or maybe she's just decided that she'd prefer chicken or tuna from now on?

I used to get tuna, and they would about attack me to get it. But I'm feeling bold, and will get some next time I go to the store.

And thanks for the info about Hackers. Just one more thing you need to be cautious about when you get online!

Oh, a stupid question, but is it...I use to...or...I used to? Soon, all I'll be able to speak is...ugh!

Yes, apparently even smart refrigerators can be remotely accessed to spy on us and listen in. Smart cars too can be remotely controlled. Kids have too much time on their hands and like technological puzzles to solve.

I used to put out a bowl of tuna to entice strays over so I could take them into be spayed or neutered. They love it (not the fixing of their bits, but the tuna )! Even our own cats would come running when they heard the can opener going, they knew it meant tuna!

If you're buying tuna, don't buy the solid white, buy light tuna, it has far less mercury. And is cheaper too!

You did good, it's "used to" in your sentence, past tense.
