Did you manage to get it all cleaned up, Sunshine?

I've been thinking of nuthatch and Rose too, such a devastating situation in California that is far from over. I wish Mother Nature would be more cooperative. Very grateful neither of you or family is directly in the line of fire.

Jeanie, hope you got your scooter situation sorted out. I really admire your resilience too. When I'm struggling, I am reminded of the many examples of independence here, to not give up on the fight, to find a way to get things done, to take care of myself and do my part to maintain my health as much as I can too.

Cherie, we are not able to come to meet you and Dave. I hope you will be back another time and we can meet up then. When we were at this hotel for a Napoli presentation before, it was a scrumptious buffet and the salmon was excellent.

Yes, he cleaned it up in a minute, with no complaints as usual. I am lucky and I know it.

Hands just seeem to be dropping stuff more than usual. This is disease progression, I am sure of it. Oh well.

I have discovered how to mentally separate my soul from my body. When I have pain, or anything that happens with symptoms, I fell myself my soul is whole and fine, it is only my souls vehicle, the body, that is crippled. This helps me preserve my self, and feel less overwhelmed.

In moments of catastrophizing, I Shhhh Shhhhh Shhhhh quietly tonseekf to soothe myself, like a parent does to a crying toddler as she rocks her or him.

Sunshine, I have developed this separation with this recent illness. “I” am fine but my body is ill. I wonder if it’s an automatic self-preservation thing. It has never happened to me before.

Ann, guess you saw that neither of us has to worry about Amazon coming to our cities (well, more than they already have). The headquarters is being split between Long Island City in New York and Crystal City which is in Alexandria, Va. Whew, what a relief.

Where is Howie? Are you alright?

Virginia, I am so happy that we are not going to be an Amazon headquarters! Also happy that we got out of doing a summer Olympics. ;-)

I'm here Virginia, you miss me? I went for gas, then the ATM, then the store, and I actually made a list. I usually don't, but they've rearranged the store, so it's easy to go past an item and miss it because it's been moved from where it's always been. But I got everything.

This is going to be a long scary month. I'm going to run out of Gabapentin. Nobody thinks it's their fault. I KNOW it was CVS, but they deny it. So instead of taking 6 a day, I'll be taking 1 or 2.

Another wet, gloomy day, but at least it didn't rain while I was out. I don't like driving in the rain, or after dark. Well, everyone have a great day!

Howie, call the doctor and get that fixed! Do not go from 600 to 200 like that!!!

You'll notice that that drugs.com material has quite a few warnings about not changing the dosage without the doctor's OK. You probably should let your doctor know this situation. A call to the pharmacy from the doc might straighten this out immediately. It sounds as if you've already argued this out with CVS and pointed out that you're not getting the right amount of gapapentin. Now it's time to go to the next level--the prescribing doctor.

They might be willing to mail the missing gabapentin to you.

You cannot do this. I don't know why you didn't get your usual amount, but whatever the reason call your Doctor and let them know that you didn't and that you NEED it NOW!

Ann, it was a real relief about Amazon. I can understand what you are saying about the Olympics. That would be another nightmare.

It is strange that I am on here. I have not had internet connection in two hours, but clicked and got on here. It is so wet here. It rained yesterday and is raining again today. I was glad that Laura came today so she could take my recycling out. I had a lot.

Howie, i agree with the other women’s posts. This is not like skipping Tylenol. Call the doc right now and explain it to the nurse or whoever answers the phone that it is becoming an emergency.

Okay, okay, the clucking is becoming deafening! I'm calling the doctor now!

Okay, I called, and the nurse was very nice, and she would let the doctor know. She did tell me the Gabapentin was now classified as a "controlled substance" and that may be the problem. So now I wait for the doctor's office, or CVS to call.

Yes, Howie it is a controlled substance and you have to be very careful about taking it. It is the only medicine I get that I have to sign for.
