You know, I think that what bit me and what they call No see 'ems in NH are the chiggers we grew up with on the farm. Tiny little black flying insects slightly larger than a flee but without the ability to jump that flew about your head. They bite at ears and hairline and ankles and anywhere they can manage to find access. ....although I used to remember chigger bites being around waist bands.....These things are miserable! They seem to be getting bigger and harder and more itchy each day. Headed back south to home in the morning.

I don't recall ever seeing a chigger. I understood that they were too small to see. But no seeums can be seen in spite of their name, I guess.

Yes, chiggers LOVE waistbands though they'll settle for just about anywhere on you.

This is the sorry state of modern med. Instead of socialized med like Canada or England, we have corporatized med. You must advocate for yourself. God would expect nothing less of you. Do not only rely on God to slay these dragons, but to ask his help in comforting you as you deal with man made inhumane response to your condition.

You have an adaventurous spirit and Andy has your back—-I know the two of you can do this. We all hate to see you suffer like this, on top of the physical suffering you have endured.

On my iPad while cooling off at the optical department where I finally got the new glasses I probably should have got 8 months ago. It's going to be 97' today and it feels pretty warm already. Usually I go nowhere in such hot weather but I wanted the glasses and decided to take a chance on finding everyone's air conditioning in working order.

So far,so good.

IVIG went well. No spasms.

I had another chigger memory. We put mom's clear nail polish on the bumps which is where they have dug into your skin. The nail polish would cut them off from the air, and they would smother to death.

A memory, or a nightmare? You decide!

Doesn't sound exactly soothing to the skin but if it worked, great. Chiggers burrow, I think. They don't just bite. The actual chigger digs into your skin but you don't see the chigger.

Tonight maybe you can watch "Day of the No-Seeums." Maybe they're benevolent aliens who come bringing goodies.
