Pati, I do feel for you with the hurting in your back when you sit at computer. that is one reason I don't stay on much. I hope you don't destroy it with the sale!! Mine has been worse lately and I think the damp weather is making it worse.

Ken and I had lunch Friday with what family I have left. Baby Sis, Oldest Sis and lil brother. It felt so sad to look around and not see more people. I love my family and we decided we would see each other more. The lunch was good, but just the riding and sitting so long I was in a world of hurt when we got home. We stayed a long time. My brother had done some work looking up info about our grandfather who fought in the Civil war. He had 11 children by his 1st wife and 5 or 6 by my grandmother. There was info where he applied for his pension after the war. My Mom was born in 1916 and he died withen the year.

I read about all of your problems and wish I could help all of you. Joy, hush your mouth about grands breaking my heart!! My oldest is 30 and baby is about 8 months old. I do know what you mean though. Your kids will do that if you let them. They will anyway whether you let them or not! Good to see you!!

I want to make an Album. I'm getting my pictures ready and will probably need a bunch of help. I want to do one with my 2 granddaughters named Jennifer that grew corn in my flower boxes when the were 5 & 6. They are 20 & 21 now.

dear julia I only said what I did about the gdaughter getting ornier because she is at the tender age of almost becoming the age all us females dread..... kaboom, hope no need to explain that to any females anyway. she is all emotions and nerves etc. and i feel so bad for her cause i know that for years and years it will be the same most of that time we all dread.

and as for the boy at 6, well let me just say, i also love him to pieces and HIS daddy is learning already about things himself. my son's saying was always "what's your problem!!!?,, weeeeell at 6, HIS son has him beat with the sayings already let me point out, LOL. You do sometimes pay for your upbringing.

And I would be totally lost without any one of them cause I love my kids and grandkids both. not a hair's difference in how I love them all. And I can most any time of the day find something worthwhile to brag about the spouses as well. :o

I went to way to much trouble in getting kids in the first place, it was NO easy trick for me or hubby either. nooooo we had to have approval from a ----load of folks before we could even apply.

then wait for 9-forevers to get anywhere so i felt like a grandma in the first childs kindergarden class, LOL. all those young things with babies there. the wait alone for the first like to have killed me. But then I have had the rest of my life to be thankful for them!!1 and i have been believe me.

they are what makes the world a good place and what hurts you when they hurt.

found the wasp nest but it's too high for spray to reach. hoping the cold weather will kill those suckers off! still freaking over wasp in my ear incident. thus haven't gotten far in packing up my shop.

yesterday was beautiful here,sunny & about 60 degrees. so finally convinced my housemate to help me burn all his daughter's papers that had been in hallway since June. I told him I still cannot accept her death & having her stuff all over the house depresses me. also I can't stand going into my shop & seeing her stuff everywhere.I think I finally got through to him-hopefully.

What's the next phase for your shop? What are you going to do with the things left over?

Good for you with getting HM to burn the paper's. I just threw all the important papers in a box and off to storage it went. I don't know how long I'm suppose to keep my mom';s papers for.

The weather is slowly getting colder here. At least we haven't got snow like Colorado did. Well, got go walk the dog again. I'm getting kind of tired of walking him all the time. But then I would feel bad if he had to wait until my daughter got home to go outside. It does get me outside otherwise I would hardly get out of the house.

Yeah Pati, I eekked when I read that. I thought of how me & Steve were attacted by wood bees. Then I found they don't sting, all they want to do is live in your wood...granpa had them living in his garage.

It's getting cold here too. No sun today. That reminds me, I have to get my jacket zipper fixed so I have something to wear when it's 45* (I have a couple for when it's colder).

I'm glad you got housmate to get rid of some stuff for you. Would you believe I am still trying to clean out MIL's stuff out of her bedroom? The clothes are heavy and if I do much I hurt so bad I can't sleep. I finally stopped asking for help. I do a little at a time. Maybe I'll be thru by Christmas.

Hi everyone, just wanted to tell everybody I am still here, a little cold there will be snow in my area this weekend (SNOW IN OCTOBER) this is crazy.

I need too rant a little, I am confused and baffled by the many idiots out there. My hubby and me are trying to get a loan modification for the mortgage, since it is too much and we are not couping well. Begining of September sent the initial request and they sent a letter for us to send copies of a bunch a info, which we did, well at the beginning of October, they sent a new request for more documents. My husband owns a very small LLC company which is really not doing anything, they wanted to now what is an LLC, how much $$ was the Shareholding of the organization. Explained to them what LLC meant, that the organization has 1 owner and 1 employee and there was no shareholder. Well we sent the documents in, and here is the kick, they (this is BOA) contacted us last week and request a couple of "Letters of Explanation" regarding 3 separate issues. 1. Why a have multiple employers (I have my main job and had to get me a part-time at a retailer at minimum wage to try to survive); 2. Why we closed and got distribution $$ from the IRAs that we owned (IF we closed themis becuase we need it the $$ to survive, don't you think) and the best of all 3. When we file our taxes we use an Schedule C (Sole propiertorship) which is what IRS asked us to do, thye wanted an explanation as WHY the Schedule C shows a negative balance (meaning why we have NO PROFIT from the business). Anybody with a minimum level of intelligence will know that if your 1 column for profits show you that you made $2,000, but you loss column shows you that you loss $8,000, It means that your expenses are higher than your profit. But they wanted a LOE regarding that.

This banks are really frustating and inepts, I do not know what kind of underwritters they have that need explanations for the most obvious reasons. If we are asking for a modification it is because we have been strugglinhg with $$ and if I have an extra job, and we closed our IRAs it is because it was the only way for us to pay are mortgage, car loans, gas and put food on the table but this people is so stupid and don't want to help, so they put all the barriers they can find, like asking for LOE for issues that should be obvious.

well I finally got off my duff & finished packing up my shop. got it all into the back part & closed the doors. I'll have a sale (or more) next spring when the tulip tourists come. my "trash" pile has grown.

snow in October is not unheard of. weather is so wacky I can't tell what it might do here. rain of course today.

housemate came home with a bag of sunflower seeds today so he filled his daughter's feeder. I've pulled up the tomato plants & wonder if anyone knows how to make fried green tomatoe's?? long as my flower's are still blooming I will leave them be. first heavy frost will kill them off. everything is very green here. I discovered baby ferns in one of my planters when I cut back the perrenial's. now that's a first!

Got snow here! First time in OCtober since 1970! I love it! Remind sme of home but it goes away so quickly!

Bella, my DH does mortgages, believe me, underwriters HAVE to ask these questions because they didn't use to ask ENOUGH and that helped a lot of people get mortgages they couldn't afford so that Wall Street could make money off mortgage-backed securities.... (Don't blame just Wall St or idiot lenders or idiot borrowers or even Congress.... there was a lot going into the Big Crash of 2008).... I am sitting here with DH, and he recommends (UNOFFICIALLY) that b/c it's a mortgage modification, the one thing you can do is try to find a local nonprofit or local gov't housing agency (NOT federal!!! NOT state!!!) to assist you in getting through the process of the modification. If you can't find one, or don't want to bother, give the bank and underwriters ANYTHING they ask for, no matter how absurd. The Home Affordable Refinance program recently got expanded, so that might help. (Don't know for sure when it takes effect.) As for underwriters, DH doesn't ever have kind words. They ask some mighty odd questions. I wish you luck, and so does DH!

Well, not much else hapepning. New rehab doc guy is treating me, and I have a massage scheduled next week, so we'll see if we keep having baby steps of improvement!

good grief!! Snow and today we have such a nice sun shiney day. Thought about going to pick up some pecans, but that's as far as I got. Thinking about it. Between Ken and myself, on different days we have picked up a large wash tub full! He got down on his knee's and picked them up. you could not walk witout stepping on several of them. Poor fellow, he has osteo-arthritus (?), he took advil before he went to bed which is not something he does unless he can't bear the pain and longer.

I have a hard time bending and even staying on my feet for any length of time so I took my walker out and sat in it. We have so many this year, just laying there side by side so I would scoop up a hand full. Ken went to the hardware store and got me a poup patrol thingy and now I can sit down and scope up 8 or 10 at a time. I picked up about a peck bucket full in such a short time that day.

Needless to say, I woke up with my right hand numb, couldn't move for back pain, aches in my leg and could hardly walk all day yesterday! Still, I will go mad if I don't get out of this house now and again. I know I will pay a dear price, but I just have to decide how much I am willing to endure for some sun shine.

So, those of you that are covered with snow, I feel for you, but don't wish I were there. the cold windy weather does a # on all of my ails. So does the extreme heat! I can't seem to find that middle ground.

I don't know when we ever had so many pecans and this is just from one tree. I haven't even ventured toward and of the others. The leaves haven't even fallen off the tree's.
