Goat is,sweeter, and less fatty. The problem we've had with goat is leftovers. Cooked goat the next day smells like...uh...Goat. real unpleasant.

Gary, you made goat cheese? I like the traditional cheese, like cheddar from goats milk....but there's one, I think it's Swedish... the cheese is yellow, sort of chewy...if you didn't know it was cheese, you'd think it was caramel candy. Called geteost. Or something like that. Tom Cat loves it....me, not so much...

Would it be this cheese? I may have seen it in stores but never tried it. In the photos it's an interesting color--may not be the one you're talking about:

Yeah, that's it. Love the description, sweet, fishy. Didn't know it was Norwegian. Still don't like it...

I don't think I'd like a fishy-tasting cheese either. I expect fish to taste like fish but cheese should taste like cheese.

I looked online at our local grocery and I think I'll ask Lenny to pick up some goat cheese with fig. That sounds really interesting and I've found I like figs more than I thought I would!

Don't like figs, dates, prunes. Dried apricots, on the other hand, will disappear if I get my hands on them.

I like fig Newtons, just don't know if I have ever eaten a fig by itself. I am not big on a lot of dried foods. If I HAVE to eat fruits and vegetables I don't want them all dried up.

I like fig newtons as well as dried figs. But like any fruit, you can also buy figs fresh. The fruit comes in varied sizes, shapes, and colors. There are over 700 varieties according to a blog I found.

I've eaten Fig Newtons, but not many. I didn't like the gritty crunch they had which was like little bits of sand in it. I guess those were the tiny fig seeds.

That is the way I feel about pears. They taste like they have been rolling in the sand. I don't mind the taste, its the feel to them.

I am w Howie on the Fig Newtons but I love fig jam w cheese, especially real goat cheese.

Am also w Sally and the lamb chops. I bought some recently after many years w/out. I decided if I was hungry for them, I should have them. I'd like to avoid Mad Cow and Mad Lamb and probably Mad Gary! So, I bought organic lamb chops at WFds. Absolutely no flavor. None. :-(
