:) Well I went to have my teeth cleaned and it apparently loosened my temporary 6 tooth bridge before porcelain veneers are put on. It came off in my hand. It was easy to slip back on but not sure if it needs to be glued back in. I will call tomorrow. They fit snug and do not hurt.

My van door will not close with the remote or the key in the lock. I have to get off the scooter and lean in on the passenger side and push the lever to close while the engine is running. Then turn off the motor. I just had a $238 battery put in.

I have to go back to the mobility place and get my ramp and door fixed again. I am tired and not up to running out there right now. I need a money tree.

Have put nearly $5000. on Visa for my dental. It is necessary to save my teeth. My next appointment is 12/1 for a final impression at dentist.

Because I sleep a lot of the day and I have a hard time sleeping at night. I had to go to the credit union and take money out of my only retirement CD and there was a penalty for taking it out before it expires. The orange one scares me and I do not like having to use my only retirement CD.

My mail delivery comes after 8 PM now. It is dark out and so I have to leave the mail until the morning. Jeanie :)

I love baby Brussels sprouts. Not eggplant yucky.

Broild onions are good with steak.

Jeanie, I think you will need to have that bridge cemented back on. Otherwise, with time and use stuff might get under it. You are having a ton of problems. It is either the van door or the batteries for your scooters. Everything cost so much. I hope things even out for you soon.

Agate, why don't you use your electric toothbrush all the time? If I brush 3 or 4 times a day I still use mine. You can still use your floss like usual. I also like to use the ACT mouthwash. Not due to dry mouth so much, but I get the one that is supposed to strengthen the enamel on your teeth. By the way, the toothbrush I have now has one speed that runs for 2 1/2 minutes. I like that.

Howie, I do not need your services at this time (thankfully). So you can put the plyers away. You do not have our problem, but you do have the problem of how to eat your steak.

And corn on the cob is out for me now. Yes, I could cut it off the cob, but it's not the same somehow. Quite a few foods are out now, but I enjoy what I do have. Plus I only microwave food unless it's my coleslaw which I made a fresh batch of this morning.

            I'm getting hungry!

I use the power toothbrush, too, and have had far fewer dental problems since using it. Which reminds me that I need to make a dental appointment, and soon. Last one was more than a year ago. I was scheduled to go in for a cleaning in april....on the day after my last surgery. So I'm way overdue.

I gave a bunch of my bags of dental goodies to the local food pantry, which was pleased to get them..they hand them out free to kids who come in with their moms and dads, for food....

Husband flew to Houston this AM. What did he forget? He forgot to leave me a love note. ;-(

He will be gone four days.

So I am at the hairdresser's to cheer myself up.

I hope he at least left you with some chocolate.

Virginia, I was using the power brush 4 times a day but I was going through power brushes so fast that it was getting costly.

I keep intending to get back into using the power brush more often but so much of the time I need to keep listening for the doorbell or the phone, which I can't hear when that power brush is running.

But these are just flimsy excuses. I find it boring to last through 2 minutes of brushing more than once a day--that's the long and short of it.

But you've inspired me. Being free of those frequent trips to the dentist has been so nice in the last year or so that I'm really motivated to maintain the remaining teeth. I have 4 teeth that are supporting bridges plus 13 other teeth.

No, Howie, please put the pliers away.

And Howie, I wouldn't give up on corn just because eating corn on the cob was out. Scraping it off the cob can be done in 4 strokes with a good knife and there it all is, just the same as it was on the cob but now it's conveniently off the cob, which you won't have to hold up, hang onto and maybe even drop on the floor for the cats to pounce on.

You can add the butter and salt and pepper too. The experience of eating around and around the cob can be interesting, I'll admit, and watching the butter melt on the cob and drip down on your clothes might be interesting too in a funny kind of way.

WE love you, does that count for anything? Maybe he was in a hurry and didn't have time or he might miss his flight. Or he was thinking about what the next 4 days had in store, and simply forgot.

Lots of reasons come to mind. But you know he loves you, there's no doubt, is there?

So just relax, and enjoy your down time, and think how nice it will be when you are reunited.

OK, there's a special gadget just for removing corn from the cob. I've never used one of these but it probably works:

That site locked up my computer. Trying to put a virus on me? Okay, okay, I'll eat some corn!

Howie, Husband always writes a great "I love you and I'll miss you" note. He often leaves a gift or small surprise.

He has landed safely, got the king sized bed and found a Middle Eastern restaurant for lunch. All is well.

                            Thanks for the pep talk.

And my hair is now brown.

The tools to easily cut corn from the cob are available wherever household kitchen gadgets are sold, including Amazon.

                                Corn can be easily microwaved.

Ann, you could make him really pay for this and bring you a real expensive gift when he comes back - or maybe two. At least you know how to console yourself with a hair appointment.

Agate, they always comment on how well I keep my teeth when I go to the Dentist, so I always figured it was the electric toothbrush.

Cat, good idea for the little bags of dental goodies. I've got enough saved up to do the same. The only thing I use out of them is the dental floss. I don't even use the toothpaste because they never have my brand.
