I'm not sure myself. I'm no longer sure of much except being very worried about the future.

I know Vicky, many of us on here seem to feel that way. The one thing I do believe in is this Country. I have had the opportunity to not just travel, but live in others and as much as I enjoyed it there is no Country like this one. Hopefully, there will be enough reasonable minds left in Washington to keep things in check for at least 4 more years. The problem is he has both Congress, Senate, Supreme Court and I think at least 2/3 of the States.

Still, I believe in this Country and therefore believe there must be some of these people who are reasonable and will put us first. The first thing is those of us who find ourselves in this position have to know that we have got to grieve to get through these early days and weeks until we feel a little more comfortable with what has happened. It will take time.

Vicky, please don't be worried. He can only do so much. Most every major endeavor a president may think of, has to be voted on by the House, and Senate.
Checks and balances. He's a President, not a King.

His plan to build a wall between the US and Mexico is impossible. To stop illegal aliens, you fine the folks that hire them. Very soon, getting over the border to work will end very soon, not from a law, but from these folks who love money, and hire illegal migrants for nothing.

Get a migrant to work for $100 a week, but if caught, the person who hired them is fined $10,000. Problem solved.

I would guess that maybe the president-elect has hired them! I wrote "president" w a small"p" because, in this case, that is all it deserves.

If it wasn't so sad Ann, I would laugh because I felt the same way about not capitalizing P one time today - two great minds.

We will all just have to wait and see what happens now, but at least we can talk to each other.

Or maybe just refer to him as the "White House resident" as was done a while back with another objectionable occupant whom I won't name.

After all his stay is just temporary, as every other occupant's has been. Glad we don't have a monarchy!

:) I'm glad we don't have a monarchy either. Queen Elizabeth has been in power 65 years. She has been an excellent queen, but what if Trump could stay in power, ugh!

There's plenty he can do to alienate us from other countries without actually doing something illegal. There are military people talking about taking early retirement. He doesn't care about this country, just himself.
