Well, just to prove how starved my brain is, some saying "vote often". Are you talking about some pre-election vote? What's the point? When did this start? What good does it do the people but to influence their vote. Last time I checked, only the vote election day counts. That seems unconstitutional to me.

Howie, there is such a thing as early voting in most States and of course there is "write in" voting for people like us. That is what Agate and I are talking about. As for the "vote often" we are just kidding. We only wish we could. We would get OUR candidate in for sure if that were possible.

I am in a battleground state and BBS is also in one. We want lots of votes.

Of course you only vote once in real life. You've never heard the sarcastic joke about voting early and often, Howie? You really do need to get out more.

Get out more? NEVER! The founding Fathers devised a PERFECT system to elect folks to rule this country, and it didn't include PRE-elections. How many are influenced by that? Yeah, I WAS going to vote for so and so, but if everyone SEEMS to like this candidate, then I'll vote for them too.......

Or are you saying there's no such thing as PRE election vote? My head is spinning!

I thought it was an old Chicago saying but it goes back farther than that:

Getting back to the Cubs, I'm afraid Sally might be a bona fide Indians fan, and maybe that's why she hasn't been here since yesterday. Come back, Sally! I didn't mean to tromple on any Indians fans!

I can't say I really am either, Sally! But the Cubs are headquartered right near where I spent my teenage years and I did go to their games now and then, way back in time, and my dad and brothers were all fans.

I'm not a sports fan. Watching millionaires play a game has no appeal to me. I played football in HS, and have watched part of maybe 2 pro football games in my life, and that was simply to "fit in with the guys".

But now drag racing, I love to watch, but never see it anymore. I love cars, but only like drag racing. NASCAR is boring to me.

I'm just getting up, and I sure am grumpy, aren't I?

There are still some leaves on trees around here, and so I'm not as grumpy as I will be when they're all bare out there. But I'm grumpy enough to post here.

This is the place where grumpy people with MS can be grumpy about it or about anything else, I think?

Mice have been seen outside, according to the building manager. I'm grumpy because there aren't nearly as many cats out there nowadays, and that may be part of the reason for the mouse explosion. I hardly ever see a cat passing through any more. There were a few I was on speaking terms with, a while back.

The mice were seen in exactly the places where some anonymous person has been leaving food out. Odd that the cats aren't attracted to those places too, where they could see the nice yummy-looking mice and snap them up.

They say cats' faces don't show real emotions even though they sometimes look as if they do. I'm sure that's true, but every time I've seen a cat walking along with a mouse in its mouth, it has looked for all the world as if it was very proud of itself. "Hey! Look what I've got!"

I'm not turning into one of those cat ladies you may hear about in the news. I'm not in danger of sheltering 50 odd cats, and they'd need to be very odd cats if they were willing to put up with living with all of those other cats in such a small space.

I am getting impatient with this MS attack. Its eating away at my favorite things to do. Still not ready to give up on my hobbies and seek out new ones, not yet.

We are designing a one story handicapped access house right now. It seems inevitable that this disease will necessitate it. I know nothing yet about the different access technologies and designs.
