Hi Jendi, good to see you. We miss you when you are unable to get to a computer.
Interesting about Oregon and Washington State having only mail in votes. I mailed mine in, but I had to request to do so and fill out a questionnaire as to why I wanted the ballot sent to me. I requested it back in September and they sent it out in October so I filled it out and sent it in. However, most people in North Carolina vote at the different polls for their district. This is what I did until MS restricted my ability to stand and walk. I can't remember exactly when early voting started here, but today was the last day that you could go to the polls and vote. After today you have to wait until Tuesday. Even though people have been voting early for over a week, I think, they said on the news that at one poll there was a 4 hour wait and another the wait was 3 hours and 10 minutes. People stood and waited and everyone it showed on the news who did it said they were glad they did.
I remember Socks also. I knew the White House had rats. At one time years ago they had them really big and many of them down in the kitchen. This was very long time ago, when I was living up that way. Hope they got rid of them. I feel sure there are mice all over that big house.
None for me, Howie. Sorry you have been having a lot of that recently.
We are having a lazy Sunday here. Getting some laundry done, picking up RX's, buying our yogurt at a different store than our usual because they had none yesterday.
Now getting ready for salmon, green beans, and Yukon Gold potatoes.
I'm here, still busy with trying to learn more about the computer I just got. It has more space on the hard drive than I will ever use but I got a really good deal on it.
Whatever happens around you, don't take it personally. Nothing other people do is because of you. It is because of themselves. -- Miguel Ruiz
Maybe everyone was busy setting clocks back? Or voting?
Or fattening up turkeys or geese? They have to eat well to get looking all plump like that.
I've been dealing with a broken jar opener, taping it up so I can still use it until a new one comes. It's one of several jar openers that get a lot of use around here.
But the plastic handle broke off, leaving a jagged edge.
I'm particular about jar openers but am thinking of trying a type I've never used, like this:
Vicky, I hope your new computer works well for you.
I like my new computer, and it seems to be learning to get along with the modem better now that some time has passed. I like being able to see videos--something I could do only very rarely on the old one, and even then it was apt to be a choppy picture with choppy sound.
