Cat, mine does that, and I'm not signed in. Sign in, and the "thanks" buttons are back.

My "thanks" button is working OK too but there was a time when nobody's "thanks" button was there. Somehow the magicians in charge fixed that but maybe something else is happening now.

I think it was last week - I would hit my thanks button and nothing would show up, but the thanks button would be gone as though it had shown up. That seems to have cleared up, and it is working fine now.

Howie, the cats are really messing around with you. They are making you think it is Sam, the one that usually does everything, but it is really Seven as Suse-Q pointed out.

Seven doesn't stay awake long enough to pull tricks on me. But Sam never sleeps, just like her cat daddy. I THINK this is my third day of no sleep. I want to, I try, I take my sleep med and get under the covers, and wait and wait, and all I do is rest my eyes. Then I just get up, and plan to sleep the following night.

Cat, that happens to me occasionally for no particular reason. I don't think it's your kindle.

Well, I'm signed in on both my kindle and laptop...as I wrote that question on the kindle and was able to post it...which I couldn't if I wasn't signed in. Right now I'm on my laptop, and I'm able to post, too. Strange.

Ann, one president (not orange) and one gigantic big box of chocolates. If you have to pay too much for the president, that's not orange, we will all chip in.

Howie, I have really, really bad sleep problems, but this afternoon I sat down and was reading a book. After reading awhile, I had to put the book down and I dozed for 1 1/2 hours. Now I worry that I will not sleep tonight. A Doctor once told me that he had rather see me go without food than sleep, and at that particular time I was a little bitty thing. I could understand if he said it now.

Virginia, I am just waking up from a nap about as long as yours. Are you my long lost twin?

I was waiting on a delivery from I don't know who. And, I don't know who is trying to make the delivery. No logo on the sticker they left. It was the 2nd attempt it said, so today, I had the front door open (storm door closed) the sound on the TV barely on, and I think that's what lulled me to sleep.

There is a # on the sticker they left, so I'll call that tomorrow, and see what's up.

I still haven't eaten today, but will. It was past happy hour, so I grabbed a beer. That will usually give me an appetite. I'll have my usual "5 minutes to make" meal, and tomorrow, I need to go to the store.

YOU have a "storm door", the one who is forever bragging how glorious your weather is there?!

Hope you managed to eat and catch up some more on your sleep! Hope your pain has settled down as well!

My "storm door" has screens for the bottom windows, but it's all glass right now. It's 23 degrees right now. That's COLD! I wanted to do the dump, bank, store run today, but I'm not sure I will now. Those super cold temps are hard on an engine the first minute or so of running.

My Cruiser has 25,000 miles on it in 11 years, so I want to be good to it. I never wash it, but it looks fairly clean considering how little it's been washed.

Have a great day, and wash your car at least yearly.

Well, after looking what food I had, I went to the bank and store. The trash is still in my car. I'll take it to the dump next time I go out.

The car had frost on the windows that took a while to melt off. I refuse to use an ice scraper. I have no gloves, and my hands would freeze without them.

I just made coleslaw, and it has to sit awhile, and by then, I'll be ready to eat.

                              Have a great SUNday!

Howie, your storm door sounds like mine--it was a totally new type of door to me when the building very kindly installed them on all of the first-floor apartments here a couple of years ago. We all have patio doors in our bedrooms, and there was no storm or screen door. But now we have this great door (with a locking handle and a way of propping it open) that is both a storm door and a screen door.

The top panel (glass) can turn into a screen whenever I want. The screen part comes up from inside the door and the upper glass panel moves out of sight.

I'll have to get on with today's jobs, including putting flannel sheets on the bed because it's getting colder here as well. No freezing temperatures yet but it won't be long.

I've been dawdling here on the computer for half the morning--just because I can. Most days there are reasons why there's not much time but today, as it happens, I don't have anything that absolutely has to be done.

I really like days like this.
