Howie, any movement helps. You get up, dress, get up to take care of cats... keep moving. Exercise is one form of moving.
Today my pool had limited hours. So far, instead, moving consisted of 5 flights of stairs in daily living, watering my potted herb plants, cooking, walking up and down the hallway at work.
Before this attack, I would've walked an hour on closed pool days. That ain't possible no more...

The strangest thing happened today. I swam 750 yards, and as I loaded up the car afterwards with the gear, suddenly it felt like something had rapped the bone on the side of my lower arm just above the wrist. And yet, there was nothing to rap it.
So, I looked down at the arm. Son of a gun, it had blown up as though a large golf ball or half Of a baseball was underneath the skin. The veins were huge and ropey looking, the skin was stretched taut, and it was like a hard ball under the skin. It was just a tad tender, slight bluish tinge, not bruised looking.
My first thought was deep vein thrombosis, which is a rare and deadly side effect of IVIG if not treated.
Well, I had been planning to go see the immunologist for my allergy shot. What to do. What what to do? I figure I had a few options. I could run by my husbands office and let him look at it. His office was on the way and about 10 minutes away. Or, I could just continue on to the immunologist office and hope he would fit me in to look at the strange alien looking thing happening to my arm and tell me if it was a DVT. My other option would be to drive to the hospital which was 25 minutes away but in the same direction as the doctors office.
I was also thinking, well maybe today is the day I just die and I don't have to deal with illness anymore. But then the faces of my loved ones popped into my consciousness and I realized that was not an option. Plus, I figured I would not die I would simply end up like a vegetable in a nursing home somewhere hooked up to machines.
So I chose the option to go to see the doctors office and would have swung by the hospital if it continued to look very bad and stopped at the emergency room. Within 10 minutes of driving, the Bizzarre alien creature had nearly disappeared. Now it was simply a bit bluish a bit tender and larger than it should be but not obviously so.
The doctor did squeeze me in. He said it was not a DVT. He reviewed for me the symptoms of DVT for future reference. He was very kind and very attentive. When I asked him what he thought it could have been, he said "you have all kinds of weird things that happen to your body. This is just another one of those weird things. He was very sweet and and thought that it was the right thing and I came by and got it checked out.
By time I arrived home 15 minutes ago, the arm looked just about normal. I would not even notice it had I not had the incident earlier in the day. So strange.
Who will ever know what that bizarre alien thing was that happened on my arm. I don't suppose anybody here as ever had that happen to them?Last edited by Sunshine; 01-17-2017, 02:17 PM.

I just swam 800 yards. After cleaning up, I notice some very mild swelling, same place above wrist, but only about 5% of what it was yesterday.
If it conitinues or worsens, will see PCP. Google suggests the possibility of secondary Lymphedema. It is about 1 1/4" above where the Propofol injection was, but that was a week ago. So weird.

No, but that's interesting. What is It?
Mine looks like this, but I cut the suit up to the knees for ease of getting in and out of it.
