Guess I don't understand, Virginia. The maid comes to clean but you do the vacuuming?

I'm wondering if she could do the vacuuming? I find vacuuming to be one of the harder jobs.

I have all my stuff I ordered this month, except my CBD oil. Is that the name? Anyway, it's going to be the last package coming in. My Amazon stuff got here, my bills are all paid, so nothing else waiting to be done.

Well, make a meal. I have the pasta and coleslaw I made yesterday, so bread in the toaster oven, pasta in the microwave, and a glass of soy milk. THEN I get to drink a few beers. WOOOHOOOO!!!!

I saw you on the bus today, Howie. I knew you by your hair - long gray ponytail w some yellow at the tip. You were wearing blue and white polkadot walking shorts and an orange logo shirt (probably said, "I'm not drunk, I have MS"). I must say, you have gained alot of weight!!

Saw the doc today for swollen ankles. New for about 6 weeks. I have to have stress cardiac echo and take lasix! Not liking this.

Ann, you can't eat pasta everyday, and not add a FEW pounds!

ANN, doctors always seem to dream up tests if you go in with a problem. Often they're just trying to make sure they've covered all the bases in case you get in a suing mood later on.

I don't think it was Howie you saw on the bus. Polkadot shorts aren't a thong.

              A very good point Agate!

Agate, I always do the vacuuming and also do the dusting or the polishing, whichever the furniture is going to get that week. I also do the wash and put the clean sheets back on bed.

When she comes every other week she is only here for a couple of hours. Occasionally, I have her a little longer. She has time to clean my shower because I can't get on the floor and clean the bottom of it. She also vacuums under my bed because again I can't get on the floor and do it. She steam mops my two bathrooms and my kitchen and she cleans the kitchen counter tops with some stuff I have to do it with. Yesterday she also cleaned the glass door on the front of my house and I had her go upstairs and get a felt pad that goes under carpet. She cut it to fit the new one I bought for the foyer. She did the pad for the new runner in the hall last time she was here.

When she does my inside shutters or washes my windows I have her longer. On weeks she does not come I try to do it all except that I can't clean the bottom of the shower or vacuum under the bed. Today I need to iron. Hope I do it, but I don't know. Gets harder and harder to get all this stuff done. Takes me 3 to 4 days out of the week. Then I have to do errands. So usually I have one or two days that are kind of free days. I am tired just thinking about those 4 long sleeve blouses I need to starch and iron.

By the way, that could have been Howie that Ann saw. If he has gained weight he might not can get in his thongs. He could have been going shopping in the polka dot shorts to buy bigger thongs.

You're probably right, Virginia. If it looked at all like Howie, it probably was Howie. That cat of his, Sam, has a way of popping up in unusual places, and he just copies her.

I'd hate having 4 long-sleeve shirts to starch and iron! I have one that needs that treatment, and it tends to sit there until I feel up to it. I really dislike using starch, but this particular shirt looks bad without starch.

but you can see his hair is long.

So easy to make sauce. Add a 32 oz can of no salt petite diced tomatoes, then a @15 oz can of nonsalt diced tomatoes. And a small can of hunts no salt tomato sauce if you want, stir and heat. I like also to add some red pepper flakes and salt to taste. I Often will sauté sliced garlic clove and onion in Evoo before adding all the tomatoes, but you don't have to. The main thing you need is a can opener.

If you're gonna make it from scratch, you need some oregano and basil to make it REAL! And garlic, onion. And if you're using canned tomatoes, the fire-roasted kind. :)

One sphaghetti recipe I have uses a peeled onion stuck with whole cloves. You put it in the midst of the sauce while it's cooking, you stir occasionally, and when it's done you take the onion/clove thing out but the sauce will have the flavor.
