Melaine, you are getting to be a regular around here. Your hail storms were a wonder you didn't have any damage from them. I always worry about hail storms because of the damage they do to homes and cars not to mention the crops.

I have been awake since 2 am so I hope to go to sleep soon as I feel the need for sleep. I did get some things done today. I sharpened the blade on my lawn mower, then mowed the lawn. I also go my trimmer out and did some edging, I need to do more but I made some progress today. I got supper ready [pork chops and fried potatoes] as Penny had a meeting with the recycling committee. I ran the tools back over to the kids that I had borrowed. It was nice as I got to see Emery and help them finish putting together a dinning room chair. Emery and I went outside to see the trees that had been cut down. They had two big maple trees that were rotted and needed to come down before they did damage. Darrin's dad will cut the trunks down and they will get someone to cut the stumps out. penny swung by as the meeting was over quickly so we spent a few minutes with Emery and the kids. Now it is time to unwind and get some sleep.

      Morning all,
bet you didn't expect to hear from me anymore. Soundss everyone's feeling pretty good. Slept all of Sat/part of Sunday. Pain stays at about a 5 which is Good. Got up hourr ago, worse today. Shaking lots.
On new med Seroquel for last 3 wks at 25mg, for hallucinations which didn't help; he upped it to 50mg as of this past Friday. Have my first appt w/shrink (sorry don't like that word but hard to spell phsyciatrist?) this coming Friday. Don't recall what I wrote last but had seizure type thing, at puter, couldn't move, talk, voice in head told me to kill myself; honest w/doc, told him, off to shrink. Other 'h' include SO/another woman, don't know if I mentioned that. He so badly wants to see what I write about him to other people, surprised he hasn't found his way to the few spots n BT. But I'm very careful about deleting any incoming mail if I get it or send it from BT. Having to walk on eggshells in my own home, be careful what I say; hope she can help me, hoping my mmed works; having no side effects so far from 25mg, see what 50 brings.

Have any of you read about Clintonville, WI's one earthquake? There have been more but smaller.....One thing SO and I agree on, we've heard the boomboom where we live guessing 300 miles away, along with a little bed shaking. I wrote them telling them how far awaay they could be felt, got reply today, said nothing much, still looking into it, said they've heard from people around the word giving suggestions.

I'm shaking so much arms killing me, hope to get back here again. Pray all is well with all of you, love, miss you all, kat

You give so much by posting what you are experiencing , it is a journal of this dreaded disease and you are helping others like myself who will be facing some of this over time. Please keep posting when you can so many people here love you, and always wish you as many easy days as possible . Honey good luck with your psychiatrist, I hope you can get the results that help you sleep and can hopefully do away with the hallucinations. Big hug for you Kat,

Well I missed a couple of days catching up on my sleep.

Kat, it is good to see you back but I wish the news was better. You have a difficult condition to deal with and without a secure home situation even makes it worse. Ging is right that your post helps people deal with dementia that many of us will deal with as time goes by.

Melanie, Like you we are having very nice weather that is a joy. It has been nice to be outside and do some work as the weather is so nice.

Ging, it is good to have you visiting the room. Sorry to hear your husband is going through dementia as not only is it hard for the person suffering from it but the spouse is also impacted by it.

Karen, did you get the gasoline smell out of the car? I hope you had a good weekend and got some time to do what you enjoy.

I was thinking I might be working around my lost days as I slept at night, not well but did sleep, and went past the third without extreme sleep. I found out after going over to the kids house and working with Tyrel and Darrin to put Emery's swing set together as I fell asleep that evening and slept through until early Tue morning. I did enjoy the weekend though doing some yard work and putting the swing set together. Emery couldn't wait to slide so we put it on the frame before getting the swings put on. She loves going down slides so the swing set is a great thing for her.

Busy day today as I got an early start working on the flower beds and building a small stone wall. I then mowed the yard this afternoon fixing a dinner of ham and bean soup with mashed potatoes. After dinner Penny and I went to a city council meeting looking at plans to rejuvenate an area downtown. We went for a walk after the meeting and then I came home and crashed. I hope to get to sleep soon as I didn't sleep yesterday.

Despite not sleeping very well last night I had a good day. Our weather has been perfect and it makes it nice to get out and work in the flower bed. Today was a day of edging and cleaning up the flower beds. I took my time and had plenty of breaks so my pain levels stayed under control. I did get acouple of flowe bulbs planted in the basin. I also trimmed some of the small bushes to keep them small. Guido, I did a talk cold drink to relax with - make it the usual. Any one been in lately? If someone comes in let them know that I am out on the beach enjoying the sound of the surf.

After a night of thunderstorms we had a wonderful day today. Emery and her parents went to Big Splash water park and then came over for dinner. My mom came down this afternoon so we had a big family dinner together and tomorrow will be a cookout for Emery's birthday. We will be over at their house so she can use her swing set. They have been keeping her off of it so that it would be more like her birthday present like they wanted it to be. Emery got laughing and laughing as Megan took the big stuffed elephant's tail and tickled Emery. Emery would come back and put her face back on the fuzzy end of the tail wanting to be tickled again. She finally got tired of that and came out on the porch swing with grandpa. It was a very nice day especially with my mom down for a visit and having all of us together for dinner and an evening together. I hope everyone had a good day today.

Mark I'm glad it sounds as if you are having a good spring with the family. I love your stories about Emery she sounds like such a doll.
Melanie thanks for the tips to remove the gas smell. I have used two BIG bags of baking soda and it still smells, I took the actual carpet padding out and thought that had helped until the bag boy at the store on Fri opeaned the back hatch & said ''eww gas'''. The bad thing is I need to get gas again to cut the grass LOL...I just couldn't bring myself to do it this week,,,I will have to go at like 6am because I know I will drive home like grandma @ 10mph.

Kat sorry the serouquel is not working for you, I hope your doctor can find something to help the hallucinations.

I have not been on much because the hard drive on my laptop died. I have had nothing but trouble from that thing since last fall. I am tempted to just not let MrQ fix it. It is fun to use when I am stuck in bed but I think that I have become weak since I got it because I sit up less. I am tempted just to use the desk top for a few months and see if I notice a differnce, maybe get a better office chair or something. I have noticed I'm having some numbness in my arms which I was expecting because I have the backward S scolosis so I knew the upper spine would have issues some day,,,I just honestly was not expecting it yet. Anyway just wanted to let mention why I might not be checking in everyday. I'm fixing to run go try and hunt down a Sunday papers for the coupons today,,,if folks haven't already swiped them all. Hope you all have a good Sunday.

Karen, sorry to hear about the pain in your arms and the problems in your cervical spine. We had Emery's birthday party today and that was a fun time. I hope you can find something to get the gas smell out but I have to say I don't mind the smell myself.

Today was a wonderful weather day especially since we were having Emery's birthday party. Both sides of the family were there and Emery had a great time. She was such a big girl doing the presents as she knelt down and took her time with each present. Everyone followed Megan and Darrin's wishes by getting her a book or outfits. She did get the Chimpmunks movie and wanted to watch it but Megan said she could see it tonight and take it to her mamma's house that keeps her during the day. Emery loves balloons and wanted each of us to have one. Then later on she would bring me a stuffed toy and have me tie a balloon to it and have if dancing while I sang "I am a happy happy ______ this is Emery's birthday and I have a balloon; I am happy happy..... I was tired when we got home and got a nap in. It feels like I am falling asleep now so I need to close this out. My mom had a good time and made it back home once again.

I haven't slept very well tonight so maybe I will get some sleep later this morning. Our weather has been very nice lately and it has been nice to get outside. I went to the store this past morning to say Happy Birthday to Emery but she wasn't buying it saying no no whenever her mom told her it was her b-day. I guess she associated the party as her her birthday. She was having some cake and ice cream when I stopped by for just a minute to say hi. I was able to get our yard mowed and it looks really nice as wee have good grass in ad not many weeds. I hope everyone had a good weekend and could spend some time with the families.

Mark the b'day party sounds like such fun! I'm glad your grass is looking good I mowed our yesterday & noticed several spots where the sod is dead. I don't really know why. I do wish I could find someone to come do the weeding. I can mow but using the weedeater is just murder on me, which is one of the reasons I don't mind just having grass, less to trim around.
My sitter for my MIl is coming today instead of Wed like normal, and then I have no help till next Monday so I have to try & get a ton of stuff done today. One of my goals is to find an office chair that wont kill my back....wish me luck on that one.

Karen, I hope you found an office chair that works for you as it sure makes life better if sitting in a chair while on the computer isn't killing your back. I hear you about the weeding as I have to let Penny do it around her most of the time. I can do a little bit but not much.

Today was a nice day to be outside. I didn't get out too much as the day after a lost day is a rough one for me. We did get some sprinkles but it looked like we were going to get more rain but it is hard to tell at night. The family did visit with friends from Auburn that were on their way back from Florida. They take us out for lunch when they come and it gives us time to catch up with them. I hope to get some sleep tonight but I am doubtful it will happen.

Sadly no chair, because it is for me & that means the money just can't be found. I know I sound bitter & won't deny it one bit today, pain just does not bring out the best in me. Tue I ended up spending all day with a family member at the hospital, then came home to hearing complaints that I did not go do the shopping. Yesterday I spent hours doing the shopping & my spine is just really showing how tired I am. I thought I was going to get stuck in Wal-Mart. Thank goodness for shopping carts to hold onto.

Hope you got some sleep Mark.
They have us under a tornado watch today but the sun is shining so who knows. My plans don't involve anything but what has to be done and spending time with the heating pad on my back.

Karen, sorry to hear no chair for you as it makes a big difference in pain levels. Let it out all you need here as we understand how it builds up in us and needs an outlet some time.

It was cold here today but most of it was the strong wind. I still haven't gotten any sleep so I am expecting to sleep a long time soon. I did just a little of gardening today getting the flower bed ready as Penny is planning on getting some flowers this week, if not then next week. I am off to try and sleep and enjoy the rest while I am at it.
