I don't know for sure but I think I'd want to go on living even if things were as bad as the person you described, Virginia. He was still able to communicate and probably to see what was going on in the world, either by looking out the window or watching TV?

Having to be fed by someone else would be hard. Having to rely on others to take care of all our bodily functions constantly would be hard. There's not much of "you" left if someone else has to take over intimate activities like that.

Most of us probably don't know what we would decide in a situation like that.

Virtual reality and Mixed reality are going to be very helpful to people with severe disability. It is just starting. The hardware is available. Now the companies are beginning to make software for it.

It was like when TV was invented. The TVs were available, but there was very little in the way of programs to put on the TV for the first several years.

Well, i know the answer to that for me. I'm teetering on the edge. One step closer and I'm over it.

Happy Father's Day! I don't know if there are any fathers around here just now but we've all had fathers, and there's at least one cat daddy, and that definitely counts.

For anyone who remembers a father fondly or just wants to honor a father for having been a father, Happy Father's Day!

Fathers often are special people, the kind who don't let their kids know how much they're really doing for them. Years later, maybe long after those fathers are gone, the grown kids look back and realize how much it must have been that their dads quietly did on their behalf.

Well, I got my new MS shirt today, well, it probably got here yesterday. Only problem is, it's the right color, but the wrong slogan. But that's okay, it's in the washer right now, and the dryer next.

I just ate my meal of the day, and had some of the coleslaw I made this morning. It was great....as usual. I was up at 5am, and what can you do at that time of the day, but make coleslaw

It's a nice day, not too hot, but those hot and humid days will be here soon.

The cats each left me a nice Father's Day gift, and put them in all 3 litter boxes. Pretty thoughtful.

Everyone have a great day. I had the best dad a crazy kid like me could have had.

Way to go! How's that for giving a person a chance to be useful?

That seems like fast service with the Tshirt but too bad the slogan is wrong. Hope it won't shrink in the washing. I've had quite a few Tshirts that promptly shrank, back when I was dealing with Tshirts....

It says Pillsbury Sally...I mean..."I'm not drunk I have MS". What I wanted was "I don't have MS, I'm drunk". And I sure hope my dryer isn't breaking down, the shirt wasn't completely dry, but I could have set it wrong.

Maybe we could get ours printed in German!

My mother was born in Germany right before the war so doesn't that mean I win?

And my people were here LONG before that, after reading that article, I'd say around 1800, so I was here first, so I win!
