Eggplant. Another one of those vegetables I really can't abide. Okra is on the list, and brussel sprouts. I'm trying to think of others that should be there.... Do any of you eat edamame? Fresh soybeans? They're really good! I just discovered them a couple of years ago, and love them. I think most other veggies I like. I could be a vegetarian in the summer time, when all the veggies are fresh. Not so much in winter, though...and it's really hard to pass up a good steak....

I've tried all those veggies, and like them all. Much is how they are fixed. Something I don't know about. I don't even cook unless you consider heating stuff in the microwave. How fast can it be ready to eat is my only concern these days.

I never got my package. I'm not sure what that was about. I have nothing ordered. Amazon sends me a message on my phone, and it always arrives through USPS. So I'm not really concerned about it.

Do not eat okra, eggplant or brussel sprouts.

I can't abide edamame but love Brussels sprouts, okra, eggplant and most of the other veggies.

Peg, onions make almost anything better. My Mom grew up through the depression and WW2. They had sliced, cooked onions as a vegetable for supper. A delicious way of preparing them.

I love roasted onions. Simply toss them in a bit of olive oil, set them in a roasting pan with the cut edges showing, and roast, along with whatever else you might have in the oven. They turn sweet , and delicious. I sometimes sprinkle some herbs on them, or grated cheese (like parmesan), but that's not necessary.

It's been a while since I've roasted onions but they are good. I can't recall ever roasting the red ones but ordinary yellow ones as well as the sweet onions (Walla Walla, Vidalia, Bermuda) are really flavorful roasted.

I love onions. Slice them, drop them in a frying pan with butter. It's well worth the good cry! I'm getting hungry!

Have you tried roasted Brussels sprouts? Toss with EVOO and kosher salt, and pepper, and roast them about 425 in oven. It sweetens them up.

Real Hungarian paprika goes well on so many things but is especially good on onions. Brussels sprouts too. I'm such a fan of this type of paprika that I'm always raving about it.

It has real flavor, unlike the ordinary paprika, but it needs to be kept fresh. And it's such a gorgeous color.

Well, got trip to Dentist over with today. I just had cleaning and x-rays and when nothing else was needed at this time I breathed the biggest sigh of relief they had heard in that office in a long time. I took my little bag of goodies - small toothpaste, brush, and small purse size dental floss and left for awhile, hopefully until next year.

I have been using an electric toothbrush since way back in about 1966. I found my first one in the PX in Germany and have been hooked and using them every since. I do think they do much better job than I could ever do with a regular brush.

So my brushes are adding up. They make good tools for cleaning small spaces.

I have a collection of toothbrushes too, for the same purpose--cleaning.

All dentists seem to give out those goody bags. The dentist I have now is especially nice about that. I get special floss because I have difficult teeth, and they include a decent toothbrush, not just any toothbrush. I use the manual toothbrush 3 times a day and the power toothbrush once a day.

I agree that the power brush does a much better job. And it goes for the standard 2 minutes. I have trouble manually brushing my teeth for 2 minutes.

But dentists never let you off the hook. I thought that after having quite a few teeth pulled, I might not need to brush as much. Fewer teeth = less brushing, right?

Wrong. It turns out that the spaces where the missing teeth once were have to be brushed as well.
